Question: Under PPO plans I see they have what it called waiting periods but not sure I understand fully what that means.
Answer: Many PPO plans will have waiting periods for both basic and major dental care services. So generally what benefits you do receive at the start of the plan is preventive dental care such as office visit, X-rays, and Cleaning’s. Where as you may find you have to wait six months until you have a filling covered under the plan, and twelve months for a crown to be covered.
